The exhibition of 25 paintings , prints and sculptures by six of John’s artists friends at Conquest House, Canterbury won the approval by the Gallery owner last week . She said it was a refreshing and vibrant show , full of human interest and would have liked it to stay longer.
She especially liked Tony Oldacre’s Portrait of John Oliver as an Art student wearing a bow tie , not the way many of his friends ever saw him ! The photo from which this portrait was taken is shown below .
The show moves to Rose Street Cottage of Curiosities , Sheerness, ME12 1AJ on Tuesday July 11 with a Preview at 6.0 pm – 9.0pm and talk at 6.30. All welcome . Phone 07775 712 306
