About Frances Rowley Beaumont

I am an artist, teacher and occupational therapist by training, and have enjoyed writing short stories and poems all my life.

My book, ‘A Life Without Hands – John Oliver and Me’ is a culmination of ten years research and writing.

It deals with my love and relationship with a remarkable man called John Oliver, an artist, sailor, gardener and tug captain who was born without hands.

It is an unusual, candid and thought-provoking memoir/biography.

Partly set in the Belgian Congo, the book is mainly set in and around the River Medway in Kent.

It is available as a paperback on my shop page here

The book in different formats will be available to buy from my website after publication.

Photos of John Oliver and some of my Art are shown in the Gallery.

Some of my short stories and poems can be seen on my Blog pages.
